ASP Executive Meeting

1. APhA Convention in San Antonio, Texas

-Dates :  April 3-6, 2009

-Registration Fee is $170, Menger Hotel is $140/night and flight will cost around $250 roundtrip

-Deadline to register: Feb 23, 2009

• II. Pharmfest- Jake Galdo

-Date : Saturday April 11, 2009 at Bishop Park

-Hosted by Athens Regional, all patient care committees (same as Dawgtoberfest) should participate. Mercy clinic will have a booth.

-Sponsor may be Wal-Mart

• III. Diabetes Expo - Jake Galdo

-Date: March 21, 2009 at Atlanta Congress Center

- We will do BMI and Alternative Health

• IV. Gala- headed by Ann McConnell

-Potential Date: April 10, 2009 (Easter weekend)

-will establish committees during next meeting

• V. Spring Fundraising- Justin and Michelle

-will clean out closet and have sell week of 1/20-1/23/09

-may sell sweatshirts again

-working on for this year: the Autism Walk in Atlanta

• VI. Organizational Hour January Schedule -Casey

-Wed. 1/14 is open because Walgreens backed out

-will talk to students about VIP Day and Pharmfest

-1/21/09 GPhA is coming

-1/28/09 Walter will speak about Convention

• VII. Program/Event write-ups for Chapter Achievement reports- Kahlil

-already have information sheets filled out for the following committees : Heartburn, Immunizations, Women’s Health and Community Service

-need sheets from other committees not mentioned

-need paragraphs from each of the committees- already have ones from Smoking Cessation, Diabetes and Women’s Health
